Drama Classes

At Cartwright Drama Studio, imagination is at the core of everything we do. What sets us apart from traditional acting classes is our distinctive approach—using improvisation and free-thinking techniques to unlock creativity, build confidence, and foster personal growth. We believe that self-discovery and artistic exploration go hand in hand, and our sessions are designed to nurture both.

Our students are encouraged to immerse themselves fully in creative expression, developing not only their craft but also essential life skills like self-esteem and resilience. We place a strong emphasis on vocal work to cultivate powerful stage presence, while also exploring techniques tailored for TV and film performance.

TV Acting Class

Every Saturday

🎬 Lights, Camera, Action! In this class, we focus on building on-camera acting skills for TV, film, and presenting. Students explore screen-specific techniques and learn how performing for the camera differs from stage acting—bringing subtlety, presence, and authenticity to every shot.

Script & Screen Class

Every Tuesday

Tuesday 9th September 7.30pm – 9.00pm This class is designed for dedicated students aged 14 and above who aspire to pursue a career in the acting industry. Participants will explore every facet of the profession—from script analysis and audition techniques to self-taping, stage performance, and television work. Students will gain hands-on experience by working on short films, developing showreels, and preparing live performances. Please note: This class is available only to those already enrolled in the Cartwright Drama Studio Youth Programme and is intended for individuals who are genuinely committed to entering the acting profession.

Acting Exams

🎭 Training at Cartwright Drama Studio Youth we also offer the chance to work towards an accredited acting qualification through New Era exams—perfect for those aiming to earn UCAS points and take their craft to the next level. 📚 Build skills. Gain confidence. Get qualified.

*25% sibling discount will be offered enrolling a second or subsequent students.
